Earlier this morning, Ed Boon posted an interesting Tweet as a follow up to the Ermac tease from this past weekend. Within this Tweet, Ed Boon would relay the story on how the developers accidentally circulating a rumor about Ermac being a hidden character in the original Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat 2 before finally making the rumor a reality in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
However, there was more to this Tweet than this fascinating tale. Boon would also post a new clip featuring Ermac in Mortal Kombat 1. Notably, this clip was different compared to the one that showcased Ermac’s intro dialogue with Kenshi.
In this clip, Ermac had an exchange of dialogue with Kung Lao. It seems that Ermac contains within himself a soul that has a certain connection to Madam Bo.
With this clip, we’re also able to get a better look at Mavado, the next Kameo that’s apparently coming to Mortal Kombat 1. Despite this, there don’t appear to be any signs of Kabal’s hook swords on Mavado’s person, making us wonder what he’ll bring to the table as a Kameo.
Finally, Ed Boon promised that Ermac’s gameplay trailer would be debuting sometime this week. We kind of already knew that with the tease from over the weekend, but it’s nice to get an indisputable confirmation all the same.
Check it all out below:

If it did, it incremented a counter that would log the ERROR. We also made a “Game Audits” screen where we could check… pic.twitter.com/8Hzq3Teu6T
