New concept art of Jamie's Outfit 3 looking like his bros Yun and Yang shown off by Street Fighter 6 Director

Street Fighter 6 marked the start of a new generation for the world warriors the likes of which we fittingly haven’t seen since Street Fighter 3 with fresh faces all around with connections to the series’ past.

That includes the likes of newcomer Jamie Siu, who idolizes the SF3 twins Yun and Yang, which is really apparent with his third costume design.

Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama recently just shared what appears to be new concept art they used to make Jamie’s Outfit 3 look.

The illustration was done by Capcom artist Takeshi Ochi, who seems to like adding a ton of extra details to the muscles that we can see once the fighter takes his top off.

This costume makes Jamie look the most like his “bros” that saved him as a child since he’s wearing a long changshan, dark baggy pants and stylish sneakers just like Yun and Yang.

He has some clear differences from his mentors of course, however, with his top actually having sleeves and being a bit more ornate while also missing the wrist guards of his mentors.

Although they’ve been mentioned multiple times by Jamie, the only time we’ve seen the Gundam Wing twins so far has been in a couple pieces of art in his story / Arcade mode — so we don’t really know what Yun and Yang look like now after maturing a handful of years since their last official appearance.

There were rumors / leaks before the game came out that Jamie was the cousin of Yun and Yang, but it seems he just mostly considers them close like family.

And despite this being the first game to take place after Third Strike, SF6 still won’t be receiving their first Street Fighter 3 character until next year with Elena, who we apparently don’t need to worry about with her healing factor according to the Director.

This new art is different from the other concept art Capcom shared last year for all 18 of the launch characters.

Somewhat strangely, there’s still been no word on any other new costumes coming to SF6, and it’s now been over a year since the first Outfit 3 looks were teased.

The original cast all previously got their third costume back in December while Rashid, A.K.I., Ed and Akuma received theirs in May.

It seems Capcom has really slowed down in their production of new outfits compared to the regular waves we used to see in Street Fighter 5, which is a bit odd.

Rising development costs and resources likely explain part of what’s going on as well as the team seemingly wanting to make outfits for the whole cast at once instead of releasing them in smaller batches like before.

There’s of course also the new focus on custom avatar items, which there’s been no shortage of, though they also presumably cost a lot less to put together compared to full character costumes.
