MultiVersus has released a collection of secret identity alternate costumes via their Halloween Crossover Costume Bash event, which offers “Elusive” level alternate looks for Batman, Superman, and Harley Quinn.
Players who get their hands on these clever alternates can become the likes of Clark Kent, Dr. Quinzel, or Bruce Wayne, the latter of which is still voiced by the late Kevin Conroy. As players have already pointed out, the voice lines that come with Wayne are new, meaning they were recorded over two years ago and only released now.
We’re less than two weeks away from the two year anniversary of Kevin Conroy’s passing, which makes it a somewhat trying time for those who appreciated Conroy as the best actor to portray Batman, of which there are many.
It’s also worth pointing out that Bruce sounds somewhat distinct from Batman, and Conroy changes his voice a noticeable bit to distinguish between the billionaire playboy and the caped crusader.
Developer at Player First surely know how eager fans will be to play as the likes of Bruce or Clark, as these variants come at a hefty price. You’ll need 6 candy for each costume you want to purchase, and each candy costs 4,000 Spooky Bucks (pumpkins) that you can earn from the Halloween event or by spending 500 Glemium.
It appears you can grind around a maximum of 20,000 Spooky Bucks in game, but you’d need 24,000 to get one of these costumes completely for free. There’s an availability timer ticking down to November 11 when you won’t be able to buy these anymore, and so the picture becomes clear: you’re basically going to need to shell out $30 USD to get any of these.
You can view still images of each of the new variants via the gallery here and then hear Kevin Conroy’s new voice lines via the embed below. Let us know if you’ll be spending the extra cash to get any or all of these elusive looks in the comments.
