Earlier today, Bandai Namco Esports released a special message from Dragon Ball FighterZ Producer Tomoko Hiroki. At this point, it’s been six years since Dragon Ball FighterZ was released on January 26, 2018.
Now that the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2023-2024 has wrapped up, Hiroki has taken this opportunity to announce the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2024-2025. Due to the implementation of rollback netcode, this series will be played both online and offline.
The first event of this series will be taking place at CEO 2024 on June 28. Of course, this will be an offline event.
It’s also worth noting that the developers aren’t yet done with Dragon Ball FighterZ. It’s announced during this special message that a new balance patch is being planned.
“In addition to the rollback implementation, we’ll be making further balance adjustments,” said Hiroki. “We’ll share the exact timing and details as they become available. Please stay tuned.”
However, information about the timing of this balance patch has already been shared on the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour 2024-2025 website.
“I have one more good news for our players – Arc System Works and I are working on a new balance patch to come this summer after Evo to spice the competition up a bit more!”
Evo 2024 will be taking place on July 19, 2024 and last through July 21, 2024. In other words, we should expect a new balance patch for Dragon Ball FighterZ to drop either near the end of July, or sometime in August.
