The new Abia State police commissioner CP Danladi Isa Nda, has assumed office following the promotion and redeployment of his predecessor, AIG Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, to Zone 13, Maiduguri.
The transition comes as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen security and leadership within the Nigerian Police Force.
Abia state police Command’s Public Relations Officer ASP Maureen Chioma Chinaka, in a statement on Wednesday, revealed that CP Danladi hails from Oganenigu, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to her, the new CP holds a Bachelor of Science (Bsc) degree in Chemistry from Ahmadu Bello University and an MBA from Imo State University.
His journey in the Nigeria Police Force began in 1992 when he enlisted as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
He has built an impressive career, undergoing rigorous training and taking on key leadership such as the Junior Command Course and Intermediate Command Course at the Police Staff College in Jos, the Internal Security Course at the Command and Staff College in Jaji, and the Senior Leadership Command Course.
Before his current posting to Abia State, CP Danladi held the position of Commissioner of Police, Administration, at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos.
CP Danladi’s earlier career, dating back to 2009, saw him taking on pivotal roles in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), including serving as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in several critical divisions such as Karshi, Kuje, Maitama, and Bwari.
