After nearly five months of waiting, Street Fighter 6 is finally about to get its next DLC character, and players have quite a bit to say about him.
That includes longtime Japanese pro WPRZT|Nemo, who just released his initial impressions and reactions to Ed’s gameplay reveal in SF6 with English subtitles so we have a better idea on how he’s feeling about the boxer.
He admittedly doesn’t have much to say upon his first watch of the trailer though Nemo does make a few faces of surprise of what Ed is able to do in his new incarnation.
After going back to the beginning, Nemo states, like many others, that Capcom actually managed to make Ed look cool in SF6 though he was a bit worried the Neo Shadaloo leader would be too bratty going by the World Tour cutscene.
Since he’s a pro competitor, Nemo is taking a closer look at the tools which normally go into making a strong character where he notes Ed appears to have a strong standing medium and heavy punch as well as a nice cancelable target combo that can begin from a crouching light.
He also seems a bit concerned by Ed’s boxing sway.
“Wait, no way! Ed has Jus Cool as well?” exclaims Nemo. “Dee Jay has Jus Cool, Luke has Suppressor, and now Ed has it. Now we have the Three Musketeers with BS retreating moves.”
It is also interesting to hear that even in Japan, Nemo refers to Ed’s flicker combo as “one, two, three” though not all that surprising at the same time.
He takes a look at the follow-up information as well that gives a glimpse at Ed’s move list with Nemo being a little disappointed that they gave him motion inputs in SF6 for Classic controls.
He jokes that Psycho Upper can’t be used as a “salaryman anti air” anymore.
