Along with Akuma, the Season 2 patch was released for Street Fighter 6. As it turns out, this patch wasn’t particularly kind to JP as it applied some major nerfs to his kit.
Saishunkan|Nemo wasn’t all too happy with how JP got nerfed with that update. Needless to say, Nemo now has his eyes on another Psycho Power user to replace his current main.
During the recent Street Fighter 6 trailer, we got a good glimpse at how M. Bison will play when he’s released on June 26. Nemo notes that JP isn’t the best character to use right now due to Akuma’s prevalence.
“I’m switching, for sure,” declared Nemo. “There will be many Akuma players in Street Fighter League. And JP isn’t a good pick for Akuma.”
Though Nemo plans to use M. Bison as his main going forward, he still intends to have JP and Blanka on the ready as secondaries for specific match ups. Aside from that, Nemo isn’t even sure why he’s still even playing JP at the moment due to how the character was nerfed in the major balance update.
“I don’t know why I’m still playing JP now,” continued Nemo. “I will probably keep both JP and Blanka in my pocket. But it’ll be up to Dictator (M. Bison).”
According to Justin Wong, who actually had the opportunity to try M. Bison early, M. Bison feels like a very technical character in Street Fighter 6. Based on that description alone, this seems like the perfect character for Nemo seems he tends to flourish with high execution fighters.
