The APC candidate for the Cross River Central Senatorial District, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba on Wednesday 6th February 2019 kicked off his campaigns in Ekukunela, Ikom LGA of Cross River to a resounding welcome by the people of Ikom Constituency 1. The welcoming crowd was so large that security personnel and traffic control officers on duty had a hard time trying to ensure the free flow of traffic on the Ugep-Ikom Highway.
The traditional rulers of the Ofutop nation were not left out as they also gathered in their numbers were emphatic in declaring their support and referred to Senator Ndoma-Egba's personality and profile, generosity, magnanimity and great performance while in the Senate and also spoke about the numerous projects he has brought to Ofutop land.
Senator Ndoma-Egba's message was a firm commitment to complete all the projects that could not be completed when he left the Senate in 2015, including Ikom Specialist Hospital, as well as enlarging his constituency support schemes for women and youth empowerment, scholarship awards and skill acquisition programmes.
In Ikom Constituency 2, their expectation was the completion of the Greater Edor Surface Water Scheme which has capacity to supply potable water to the entire Bakor area as well as parts of Ikom Urban. They also tabled the matter of fixing the Alok\Ogomogom road.
