Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, Cross River’s representative on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has congratulated Sir Maurice Effiwatt on his appointment as Acting Chairman of Cross River State Civil Service Commission by governor Bassey Otu.
Effiwatt’s appointment comes on the heels of the suspension of Mr. Uko Inaku from office by the governor.
In a statement on Tuesday, Hon. Orok Duke said that Effiwatt’s appointment was well deserved, noting that his experience as a retired permanent secretary and dedication to public service are highly regarded.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment as Chairman of the Cross River State Civil Service Commission! Your experience and dedication to public service are highly regarded, and I have no doubt you’ll excel in this new role.
