Purpose of the Job:

To oversee and manage the national sales function and activities with an emphasis on establishing sustainable, long-term relationships with distribution partners and key customers whilst developing market share through implementing specific sales strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce- relevant field.
  • MBA- advantageous.
  • Technical Competencies & Experience:
  • Scientific training in agronomy and agricultural entomology is advantageous.
  • Sound understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
  • Previous experience in the citrus or fruit crop industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles supporting sales management functions.
  • At least five years’ experience in a similar or related position.
  • Established a professional network for functional information gathering.
  • Understanding and familiarity with ag input (synthetic & biological) supply chain and distribution networks in South Africa is advantageous.
  • Evidence of managing a sales team, developing, and implementing sales strategies, and managing retail distribution networks.
  • Speaks English and Afrikaans.

  • Willing to travel locally on a frequent basis and internationally when required.

  • Skilled at multitasking.
