Ruben Amorim’s start to life at Manchester United has seen numerous players rumored to leave the club.
Several players have endured difficult tenures at the club under multiple managers.
It has become so difficult for the club, to the point where United fans have been calling for a rebuild.
Another rebuild despite the fact that United spent over £600 million under Erik Ten Hag, is rather alarming.
It points the finger to recruitment.
An area within football, that can often be overlooked amidst tactics and motivation.
One player in particular, has struggled to pick up momentum over the past 12 months.
The media have been quick to defend the player, despite the backlash faced from fans.

That player is, in fact, Harry Maguire.
The former Leicester defender has been linked to join Napoli in Italy, as The Athletic report.
United face a dilemma over Maguire’s contract.
The 31-year-old is free to sign a pre-contract with foreign clubs from 1st January.
Maguire’s current deal expires at end of the season, but United can trigger a one-year extension.
If he agrees to move abroad next month, United’s extension option could be invalid.
The Athletic’s report state FIFA may intervene, if United try to activate the extension after he agrees with another club.
United are negotiating a new contract with Maguire.
Talks have been described as “really positive.”
Napoli, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are reportedly interested in acquiring the Englishman’s signature.
It doesn’t come as a surprise to see interest in Maguire, who was struggled with the £80m price tag pressure.
The centre-back’s strengths lie in the defensive box, with headers and blocks.
Maguire possesses an adequate level on the ball in pinging cross-field passes too.
He is expected to feature more often in the back three system under Amorim.
Napoli may well bode as best suitors for Maguire, considering Antonio Conte’s tendency to play three centre-backs.
Conte’s stint at Chelsea comes to mind where David Luiz thrived as the middle centre-back (CCB).
The Italian may well envisage Maguire playing a similar role, hence the interest in the Englishman.
