Napoli have finally managed to secure one of their key transfer targets this summer in the form of Manchester United’s Scott McTominay.
The Serie A side have been keen followers of the Scotland international for some time now and became front runners for him when Fulham pulled out.
However, United weren’t backing down from their asking price, with Napoli agreeing to the £25 million.

Whilst the deal was slightly delayed due to paperwork being completed, McTominay is now on his way to complete his medical assessment.
However, the Italian club have also brought in a former Red Devil to accompany the midfielder.
The BBC have reported that Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is now set to join McTominay in Serie A in a deal worth £30 million.
Napoli’s move for the 31-year-old has been driven by their manager Antonio Conte, who the Belgian worked with for two incredible seasons at Inter Milan between 2019 to 2021.
The striker transferred back to former club Chelsea in 2021 for a massive £97.5 million, but went back on loan for the past two seasons in Italy, once more with Inter and then for Roma.
Lukaku scored 24 goals throughout the 2020/21 season as he won Serie A under Conte, igniting renewed interest from Chelsea.
However, with the striker not a part of Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea plans, the striker is now finding himself in Italy once more.
