Musk, Ramaswamy go to Capitol Hill to unite with GOP majority on DOGE plan
Musk and Ramswamy are reportedly planning to attend the first meeting of the Senate DOGE Caucus, which is chaired by Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, as well as a separate meeting with members from both chambers

Incoming Trump administration officials entrepreneurs Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are set to meet Thursday with congressional Republicans to discuss the mission of their nascent Department of Government Efficiency and how they can work together to cut government waste.
Republican lawmakers in the GOP-controlled Congress appear eager to dovetail with the new Trump administration’s plan, with the House having creating for the next Congress the Delivering on Government Efficiency, DOGE, subcommittee, which will be led by Trump loyalist Republican Georgia Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene, and in forming the bicameral DOGE Caucus, whose chairwoman is Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa.
However, what authority the administration’s new agency has toward cutting government spending and how it will work with Congress toward that goal in that capacity is unclear.
Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, and Ramswamy, a former 2024 GOP presidential candidate, will reportedly attend the first meeting of the new caucus, which now has a Democratic member.
The meeting organized by House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., is scheduled to take place on Capitol Hill at about 3 p.m.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
