It’s a bit weird to think that MultiVersus has been back in the hands of players almost a month already, and the game’s continued to rapidly change since then.
Player First Games just released the official Version 1.04 patch notes for the new MultiVersus update that adds some more rewards to the platform fighter, fixes for older platforms and some adjustments to the characters.
Although it’s not mentioned in the notes themselves, MVS now awards players 10 Battle Pass XP for each Daily Mission completed moving forward along with 10 XP for each PvE Rift star earned, which appears to be retroactive.
They also claim to have significantly reduced match disconnection rates on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One due to the game previously treating long load times as network timeouts, which had made the game a pain to try and play online with the older generation consoles.
Iron Giant may have already been jailed and removed from the roster for being too busted before getting let back out in the Version 1.01 update, but it seems the developers decided he still needed some more nerfs and changes.
Furthermore, we will also be granting 10 Battle Pass XP for each Daily Mission completed going forward. Our goal is to ensure players are rewarded for their time and allow them complete their Battle Pass, no matter what mode they enjoy playing.

Banana Guard, Harley Quinn, Reindog, Rick and Shaggy have all received adjustments as well though there’s still more on the way.
The developers state a much larger balance update is coming in the near future plus the return of some features for the beta.
Hey MVPs! After collecting a ton of data, we’re happy to share that our disconnect rates have been dramatically reduced on all platforms including XB1 and PS4.
With the patch that went out earlier today, we fixed an issue where the game was incorrectly treating a long loading…
