You may also not be able to get in right away if the servers are packed
After going dark for basically a full year, MultiVersus is finally about to change over from its beta form to the game’s actual release version with new characters and features.
Player First Games recently revealed the official launch times for MultiVersus tomorrow, May 28, and a bit of what to expect upon trying to log in to the Warner Bros. platform fighter.
According to their most recent post, MultiVersus is planned to go live on consoles starting at 4 a.m. PT / 7 a.m. ET when players can update or download the game.
PC players, however, will need to wait a bit longer with their scheduled release at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
To help mitigate the server load so things hopefully don’t immediately crash, Player First Games plans to also gradually allow users into the game in waves, which they’ll post on their X/Twitter account when each wave is about to begin.
This could be a smart measure considering the original beta launch of MultiVersus smashed the concurrent fighting game player count record on Steam, which it still holds, if the interest is still there.
MVPs, Tuesday is the big day! Figured you all want to see a launch plan:

For new content, Batman’s The Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill), Adventure Times’ Banana Guard, and Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees will be available to play at launch with the Matrix’s Agent Smith coming later in Season 1.
On top of that, existing characters have been re-tooled including new attacks along with new stages, rebuilt netcode, single-player content in Rifts Mode, and everything else basically reworked from the old version.
Those who previously played the beta release of MultiVersus will receive the Season 1 premium battle pass for free if they log in by June 11, which appears to now include the premium Gleamium currency among its rewards as well as Jason himself.
It’ll be very interesting to see if MultiVersus will be able to re-capture that lightning in a bottle moment from 2022 again and sustain it into something to keep players engaged and coming back for more.
You can find our early impressions of getting to try the full release of MultiVersus here if you haven’t already.
MultiVersus will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
