MultiVersus EVO champion shares important tips that will help you get better no matter which character you play

MultiVersus saw its second official launch earlier this week as the platform fighter has been reworked and revamped to bring players a widely new experience. Fans of the multitude of WB characters are coming in droves as the appeal for such a title is surely wide, capturing the attention of players of many different age groups and levels of fighting game experience.

For those of you who appreciate a little structure, guidance, and quick tips to help you hone in on how to play the game most effectively (and beat your friends, most importantly) reigning MultiVersus EVO champion, Nakat, has produced a helpful guide to get you started off on the right foot.

One of the first things fans have noticed right out of the gate is that MultiVersus is a good bit slower this time around. Moves have a lot more recovery time, meaning that when you miss your opponent with an attack you’re left open to get hit by one of theirs for noticeably long windows.

Nakat jumps into the helpful lessons by discussing how to properly assess the risk and reward of the moves you’re performing. You’ll need to find out which maneuvers your main character uses to initiate, which to use when your opponent leaves themselves open, and how to better manipulate the game in your favor.

A kind of rock, paper, scissors game emerges in most every fighting game, in fact a series of such interactions more or less makes up the experience.

Understanding what your options are and the best strategies when it comes to attacking, positioning, and defending are your core tools for becoming better, and watching Nakat’s video here will surely help you to identify and start refining your MultiVersus game in all of these arenas.
