Back in June 2023, the servers for the MultiVersus Open Beta were shut down with the promise that the full version of MultiVersus would be launching sometime in early 2024. Just this week, there have been some teasing regarding the return of MultiVersus over on Twitter.
It would seem that we won’t have to wait much longer to jump back into the action. MultiVersus fans will want to keep an eye out on March 11, 2024 — this upcoming Monday — at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET for what appears to be a special announcement.
“Mic check was a resounding success,” wrote the official MultiVersus Twitter account. “Calling Tony to set Monday morning at 6am PT. Stay tooned!”
Tony Huynh is known to be one of the co-founders of Player1stGames and the Game Director of MultiVersus. This Tweet is effectively telling us to pay attention to Tony Huynh on Twitter at 6:00 a.m. PT / 9:00 a.m. ET for some sort of announcement pertaining to MultiVersus.
The last character that was revealed for the MultiVersus Open Beta was Marvin the Martian from the Looney Tunes series, which is likely what is being referenced with the “stay tooned” phrase in the Tweet. Marvin the Martian was the first and currently only character that was revealed for Season 2 of MultiVersus before it was announced that the servers would temporarily be shut down.
Thus far, the roster for MultiVersus consists of Wonder Woman, Tom & Jerry, Superman, Batman, Arya Stark, Velma, Taz, The Iron Giant, Steven Universe, Shaggy, LeBron James, Rick, Morty, Gizmo, Stripe, Black Adam, Reindog, Jake the Dog, Harley Quinn, Garnet, Finn the Human, Bugs Bunny, and Marvin the Martian.
Likely with the upcoming announcement, we’ll be getting a good look at how MultiVersus has changed over the last few months. We may even see a couple of new fighters that weren’t available during the Open Beta period.
