Multiple characters reportedly leaked for MultiVersus including maybe even Dragon Ball's Goku?

MultiVersus finally launched with its full version yesterday touting new characters, modes, features and more, and things are looking like the developers have a lot more planned for the future of the platform fighter.

Since the release, alleged data-miners have reportedly uncovered a plethora of data, animations and even voice files that seems to leak a bunch of future fighters and content that could be coming to the game.

Potential spoilers for future MultiVersus announcements ahead, and this information has not been confirmed by Warner Bros.

Much of the information so far appears to be coming from the X/Twitter accounts for KrustyforMultiVersus and Ausil, who claims to be the same person who leaked The Joker all the way back in the beta release for MVS.

Between the two of them, it seems they’ve come up with separate evidence for Aquaman, the Power Puff Girls, Adventure Time’s Marceline, and Ruby Rose from RWBY that point to them being included in the game at some point.

Ausil has also posted multiple pieces of info for Samurai Jack as well including what may be multiple minutes of actual voice files for him, Aquaman, and Buttercup, Blossom and Bubbles.

Plus there’s apparently animations and props that suggests Daffy Duck could be planned as well though the media for those has already faced a copyright takedown.

As for some examples of the audio:

“I better not hear anyone calling me a mermaid,” in the reported leaked Aquaman audio. “Okay Buttercup, now you may cut loose.”

“Bubbles, Blossom, let’s mess these clowns up,” says Buttercup. “Me and my sisters are going to make a mess out of your face.”

“I do not recognize these foes,” says Jack. “The young boy, Finn, told me that this is called a crossover?”

That’s not the only audio either, as KrustyforMultiVersus has also shared clips allegedly found for Rick Sanchez (and some specifically for Pickle Rick) that directly reference Marceline, the Power Puff Girls, Aquaman and Ruby too.

Here’s some examples of that too:

“Hey uh, Utonium didn’t pack any anti-pickle serum in your lunch boxes did he?”

“Well well well, if it isn’t Marceline the emo queen?”

“I heard they rebooted you to be cool. Did that not happen in your dimension yet?”

“Yeah, bet you never fought a pickle in your anime. Let’s see what that scythe does against a pickle.”

What may be most intriguing of all, however, is an apparent Dragon Ball reference reportedly in Morty’s voice files where he simply shouts “Kamehameha!”

This could just be a fun little reference to Goku that may or may not ever actually be included in the game, but of course it has fans wondering about potential Dragon Ball representation too.

Super Smash Bros. Creator Masahiro Sakurai has expressed in the past that Goku will probably never be in his series since it focuses on video game-original characters specifically, so why not have MultiVersus come in and try to steal that thunder.

Well, the major roadblock would obviously be getting that Dragon Ball licensing, which can be tricky for a multitude of reasons.

On top of that, Funimation has the distribution rights to Dragon Ball in North America, which is now owned by Sony, not Warner Bros. — so we’re not exactly holding out much hope.

Rick does have the interesting line of “They start getting anime crossovers in here, that’s when you really know the mob capitalism is going down on this ****,” which could just be another reference to RWBY though perhaps not.

Beyond characters, Ausil has shared info on potential upcoming stages planned for MultiVersus as well including Candy Kingdom, the Teen Titans Tower, WB Water Tower and more.

It’s very important everyone takes these with a heaping grain of salt since the files and discoveries are all unconfirmed and haven’t been officially revealed by Warner Bros.

Even if these alleged leaks are all legitimate, we don’t know if / when this content will ever actually make it into MultiVersus too — especially being potentially out in the open now.

There’s a very strong chance that some or all of this media gets removed by Warner Bros. or other companies like we’re already seeing a bit of, which could help add to their validity if that happens.

With the recent closure of Rooster Teeth as well, it’ll be interesting to see if that RWBY content will actually come to fruition as well.

Currently, only Jason Voorhees and the Matrix’s Agent Smith have been confirmed for Season 1 of MVS, so there’s a lot of unknowns about what’s being added in the coming months.
