In a bid to enhance digital learning in Anambra State, MTN Nigeria has partnered with the state government to distribute tablets to students in eleven Smart Schools across the state. The telecom giant donated 50 tablets to each of the schools for their libraries, bringing the total to 550 tablets.
According to the Special Adviser to governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on new media, Dr Ejimofor Opara, who disclosed this in a statement in Awka on Wednesday, said the donation was officially handed over by the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, alongside Prof. Nkechi Perpetua Ikediugwu, Chairman of PPSSC, and top executives of MTN Nigeria.
“This initiative is part of the Smart Learn Anambra program, which aims to equip the youth with the necessary tools to succeed in a digital world. The partnership is a significant step towards bridging the digital divide and enhancing the learning experience for students in the state.
“The gesture underscores the commitment of both MTN Nigeria and the Anambra State Government to improving education and empowering the next generation of leaders,” Opara concluded.
