October 08, 2024 BROOKLYN, New York – An MTA train conductor was stabbed multiple times by a violent passenger refusing to exit the train car at a Brooklyn subway station Tuesday morning, cops said.
According to police, during a MTA required walkthrough to clear any remaining passengers, 60-year-old train conductor Mryan Pollack asked 27-year-old passenger, Jonathan Davalos to exit a 4 train car that was at the end of the service line when a verbal argument that quickly turned violent began.
Davalos refused to exit the train and the verbal dispute spilled onto the southbound platform, where the situation escalated and the unruly passenger pulled out a knife, cops said.
According to authorities, Davalos has been arrested more than a dozen times and was out on parole during the time of the morning stabbing for a prior assault on an MTA conductor.
The veteran MTA worker of 30 plus years was rushed by medics to Kings County hospital with serious injuries after allegedly being stabbed multiple times by Davalos, including in the torso, abdomen, and thigh said police.
He was taken into police custody shortly after the violent assault at the train station with charges pending a full investigation.
The knifing incident occurred on a 4 train inside the Crown Heights-Utica Avenue Station just before 11 a.m., in Brooklyn.
