Ermac is now available via early access in Mortal Kombat 1. The game’s latest DLC character is in the hands of those who purchased the Kombat Pack and/or the Premium Edition of MK1, which means that the community is now actively exploring what all the new fighter has to offer.
Whenever a new Mortal Kombat 1 character or Kameo Fighter is released, we can rest assured that the mighty TQT will be grabbing and sharing some incredible, hi-res screenshots of them in action. Ermac has now received the TQT treatment, and the classic red ninja looks fantastic in these fresh stills.
In Mortal Kombat 1, Ermac is described by the developers as being a rushdown character. While he still has traditional moves we know and love like his Lift, this legacy fighter wants to pressure his opponents with various cancels and mix ups to gain an advantage against them.
With his initial reveal last year, fans weren’t too pleased to see the updated design for Ermac feature no ninja mask and a gaunt, undead looking face. Upon release, though, the fighter’s default look features a face mask that is more reminiscent of classic Mortal Kombat ninjas, and that small change really did a lot for his overall look in Mortal Kombat 1.
TQT’s new Ermac screenshots are incredibly detailed and really show off just how good looking of a game Mortal Kombat 1 is graphically. One of Ermac’s newest standout features is his use of the souls he’s harvested to help him in combat.
These screenshots provide a closer look at these spooky souls, who portray warriors who have fallen victim to Ermac in the past. We also get to see some really close up shots of Ermac’s default costume in Mortal Kombat 1, which holds a ton of intricate details that come together to really nicely make the red ninja look sinister and awesome here in the latest entry of the long-running fighting game.
