Mortal Kombat 1 servers now down for maintenance in preparation for the T-1000, Madam Bo, and major balance patch

The T-1000 and Madam Bo are both set to join Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns later today for early access. Of course, even those that don’t have direct access to the guest character and Kameo will still require a compatibility patch to play with others online.

As such, it’s been announced that the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns servers are now down for maintenance as the developers prepare for the arrival of the new content. Of course, we have a major balance patch also dropping for Mortal Kombat 1, presumably once the server maintenance period has concluded.

For the time being, only the Practice, Klassic Towers, Local Versus, and previously accessed downloadable content are available. The other modes and features that are connected to the Mortal Kombat 1 servers will become available after the maintenance period is finished.

As of right now, there is no indication as to how long players will have to wait before they can jump back online. Of course, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any relevant updates.

Once the servers are back online, those that previously purchased the Khaos Reigns bundle should have immediate access to the T-1000 and Madam Bo.

For anyone that may wish to purchase the T-1000 individually, he’ll become available on March 25, 2025 (a week from today) for $7.99. However, it should be mentioned that the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns bundle is currently on discount for just $19.79.

Stay tuned for more updates about the patch notes.
