The wait is almost over for Mortal Kombat 1’s third DLC character since it launched last September, but there’s one thing we still need to get through first.
NetherRealm Studios announced today when to expect the server maintenance to take place for Mortal Kombat 1’s new update to add DC’s Peacemaker and Krossplay.
According to the official post, MK1 servers are scheduled to go down starting tomorrow morning, February 28, at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET and last for approximately two hours in total.
During this time, all online features will be unavailable during the duration of the update including matchmaking, missions, Invasion rewards, leaderboards and the in-game shop.
Once maintenance is complete, Peacemaker should be available to all Kombat Pack owners in MK1 though players looking to purchase him by himself will need to wait an extra week.
The other big addition is of course Krossplay finally being added in, which combines the playerbases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Game Store.
Krossplay is set to be available for 1v1, Kombat League, Kasual matches, private matches and a combined leaderboard though King of the Hill will apparently be added in a future update unfortunately.
As was revealed in today’s Kombat Kast, this update also will include balance changes and adjustments like Kenshi receiving some nerfs and Quan Chi getting a new move.
Players can also look forward to the start of Invasions Season 4, Season of the Huntress, focused around Mileena and some changes to hopefully make the grinding more manageable.
Stay tuned for more updates on Mortal Kombat 1 as they become available.
