Mortal Kombat 1 balance patch visual guide shows off the unexpected nerfs from the new update from Rooflemonger

Mortal Kombat 1 received a surprise update earlier this week that contained balance changes ahead of the free weekend event currently going down.

Rooflemonger recently released a handy balance patch visual guide that breaks down exactly what changed with the nerfs in the new update.

Starting out with Johnny Cage, he lost access to one of the only 6-frame startup attacks in the game with his down + 1 now taking 7 frames to come out while his 1, 1 is also less plus on block.

Kenshi’s Ancestor Stand attacks now do notably less chip damage on block, so even if he’s got you locked down, he can’t do as much to you without opening you up.

Both of Raiden’s versions of Electromagnetic Storm have similarly seen their damage on block reduced, but Rooflemonger shows it can still do a decent chunk.

Although he just came out last week, Peacemaker received some adjustments already as well with his gun shot extensions nerfed as an apparent bug as well as the cooldown on Eagley.

Finally, there were a few Kameos to get touched up as well with Kung Lao’s Buzz Saw seeing increased cooldown now and reduced recharge rate while Stryker also got reduced recharge on Low Grenade Toss.
