More new features are coming to Street Fighter 6 including Frame Meter Display during replays

Street Fighter 6 is getting its next big update this coming week when the game’s next DLC character joins the playable roster. SNK’s Terry Bogard, who acts as the Street Fighter series’ first-ever guest fighter, is finally entering the fight on Tuesday.

Capcom has divulged a ton of information about Terry already, and in addition to the new character they’ll also be adding several new features to the game with this next update. The company has just announced more improvements coming to the game, which includes Frame Meter Display during replays.

“The Frame Meter Display On/Off feature will be added to the Replay Menu,” wrote the official Street Fighter Twitter account. “Change Playback Speed, Advance/Rewind Frame will also be controlled with Left/Right directional buttons.”

In addition to the Frame Meter Display, Capcom notes that they’re adding the ability to forward, rewind, and change playback speed of replays by using the left and right directional buttons. This is a nice added touch as it should be a lot more straightforward than trying to find the proper bumpers and triggers on the controller to use those options like we have to currently.

While Capcom didn’t outright say these new features are going to be in the Terry update, it is heavily implied that they will be. And these aren’t the only things coming to Street Fighter 6 with this next update.

Just yesterday, Capcom released a new trailer for a brand new mode that is coming to the Battle Hub. V-Rivals is a new feature that will allow you to set specific parameters as a means of generating an AI opponent that fits the description.

The goal here is to provide players with a new training tool that doesn’t require facing human opponents. Instead, V-Rivals allows you to do things like create a version of Zangief that plays at Silver 4 level and uses Modern controls to better learn how to fight specific match ups at specific skill levels.

If you’re wanting to know exactly when you’ll be able to get your hands on Terry and the new features coming to Street Fighter 6, you’re in luck. Capcom has released the details on the next bout of server maintenance, and when that concludes players will have access to all of the latest content.

Terry Bogard and the rest of the new content are being added to Street Fighter 6 on September 24.
