Fans have been getting in time with Street Fighter 6 at various events around the world, and some players out there are really starting to get a good grasp on what all can be done in the current demo build of the game. One such player is FlawlessDeku, who has shown a great affinity for high level Jamie play in recent times with a strong display of skill at VSFighting X a couple of weeks ago.
The eventgoer uploaded another video this week with even more exceptional SF6 Jamie footage for all to see. Outside of overall strong play, we get the opportunity to see some new mix ups including a Drive Rush reset and even a combo after level 3 super.
FlawlessDeku takes on a Ryu player throughout the 8 and a half minute video, and very quickly into the footage we start to see the fireworks go off. Just 7 seconds in, Deku punishes a whiffed Dragon Punch from Ryu with a flashy Drive Rush combo starting with crouching medium kick that transitions into a quick link into Jamie’s Rekkas.
Not long after, we get to see a sneaky reset using Drive Rush. Jamie lands a confirm that will ultimately lead to guaranteed damage, but instead of connecting another normal or special move after the forward moving cancel, Deku opts for an overhead that connects into its own combo for even more damage.
Even more impressive is the combo around the 3:20 mark that sees Jamie combo after his level 3 super. A confirm into rush punch in the corner allows Deku to cancel into level 3, and surprisingly, after the big attack finds its mark Jamie is able to hit another rush punch while Ryu is on his way down leaving him in a tumble state.
We learned recently that certain attacks leave characters in a position where they’re tumbling back along the ground, and it is actually possible to hit them during this. Deku takes advantage of this by hitting an up kick to close out the combo and the game.
There’s much more to see here with FlawlessDeku’s high level Street Fighter 6 Jamie play, so be sure to hit play on the video below.
