Street Fighter 6’s fan base is as artistic as it is avid, and for proof you needn’t look any further than the awesome submissions that’ve been pouring in for the game’s current New Challenger art contest.
Those cards that pop up when you’re initially matched up with an opponent online have been a big success thus far, and so Capcom is implementing 20 more for the game’s one year anniversary. The catch? These 20 new additions will all be from fans, and we’ve got some of our favorite submissions thus far far rounded up for you to appreciate.
The approaches even in our small sample gallery here range as the artists aim to make viewers laugh, smile, or simply appreciate the beauty and detail shown off in their subjects.
Some submissions aim for realism while others are clearly cartoons. Some of the most captivating capture parts and pieces of the characters’ personalities, often expressed in particularly creative ways.

While we definitely appreciate this move by Capcom, we certainly don’t envy their task of having to whittle all these down to a mere 20 finalists, but we suspect we may be seeing at least a few of our favorites make the cut.
