Just yesterday, we got our first glimpse at Illaoi’s gameplay in 2XKO as well as a brief breakdown for the character. She’ll apparently be playable in a demo that will be present at Evo Japan 2024.
In the meantime, the 2XKO Twitter account recently posted some new gameplay footage featuring Illaoi in action. Illaoi has apparently teamed up with Ahri to take on Ekko and Yasuo.
As stated during the breakdown video, Illaoi functions more like a brawler character rather than a puppet fighter. Still, strategical placement of tentacles are shown to serve as powerful combo extenders.
Needless to say, both sides are able to show off some powerful combos and conversions. There is also plenty of mix up potential in that characters are seen constantly crossing each other up.
However, we don’t get to see a full match out play out. Instead, the clip comes to a conclusion after one of the characters are knocked out.
