MolecularAgatha pulls off stunning cosplays of Cammy in her iconic leotard

Since her debut in Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers back when it was released September 1993 at the arcades, Cammy White has become one of the most popular characters within the Street Fighter franchise. This is certainly evident when observing the fact that Cammy is the only one among these new challengers — alongside Dee Jay, Fei Long, and T. Hawk — that appeared all throughout Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 5, and Street Fighter 6 consecutively.

With her first appearance, however, Cammy was seen as one of the weakest combatants throughout multiple iterations of Street Fighter 2. This would change with the modern Street Fighter titles as Cammy is generally recognized as being a high tier or top tier.

Cammy was first introduced as a “19-year-old female special forces agent from England with a mysterious past tied to M. Bison.” Notably, this was one of the very few times where a character’s age was actually revealed in Street Fighter lore. Traditionally, only the months and days of birthdates are explicitly revealed about each character’s age.

In regards to Cammy’s connection to M. Bison, it was something that even she was unaware of at the time due to her having amnesia. We would later learn in Street Fighter Alpha 3, a prequel to the events of Street Fighter 2, that Cammy previously worked as an assassin for Shadaloo under the alias known as “Killer Bee.”

However, Cammy’s true purpose was to become M. Bison’s replacement body once his current body was pushed to its limits through the usage of Psycho Power. Ultimately, Cammy is a clone created from M. Bison’s DNA.

Since she was able to escape from Shadaloo’s clutches, she’s held M. Bison and Shadaloo responsible for those that she was forced to hurt during her time as Killer Bee. To accomplish this, she’d end up joining Delta Red.

It would seem that Cammy has taken a preference to thong leotards during her time as Killer Bee. Though her attire did change upon joining up with Delta Red, she’d continue wearing thong leotards supposedly due to the optimal flexibility, mobility, and speed that they allow.

Cammy’s most iconic look has her in a green thong leotard with the Delta Red insignia on the front, a red beret, red socks, and red gauntlets. From this point, her default appearance will vary a little bit depending on which game she’s in.

In Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4, her legs are decorated with camouflaged paint. However, she instead has gun holsters and straps wrapped around her thigh and leotard which pays homage to one of Cammy’s earlier designs before it was scrapped.

As it turns out, MolecularAgatha has really done her research when it comes to how Cammy is supposed to look. She’s done cosplays of Cammy’s Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 5 iterations without any confusion on how each iteration is supposed to look.
