Manchester United are desperate to strengthen their attack over the coming months, with the club lacking a prolific goalscorer.
Ruben Amorim used Marcus Rashford as a solo striker in his first game in charge of The Red Devils, seemingly wanting to restore him to his former role as a striker.
Erik ten Hag was using the England international out on the wing, despite his previous 30-goal season up top.
With this, Rasmus Hojlund was demoted to the bench, with Joshua Zirkzee’s already limited role appearing to become reduced even further.
Juventus are looking to sign the Dutch striker in the summer, with United looking to loan out the star in January.
In his place, United are looking to Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush.

Manchester United target Omar Marmoush
As one of the top scorers in the Bundesliga, Marmoush has 14 goals and 10 assists in 17 games already this season. The 25-year-old has bounced around several German teams including Wolfsburg, St. Pauli and Stuttgart before arriving at Frankfurt in 2023.
Marmoush is establishing himself as the club’s top striker, meaning United will need to fork out between £42 million and £50 million to secure him. Marmoush’s contract runs until 2027, putting Frankfurt in an extremely positive negotiation.
However, the striker has recently received praise from one of the Premier League’s top goal-scorers, Mohamed Salah.

Mohamed Salah comments on Marmoush’s ability
The pair play for the Egypt national team together, with Salah saying to WinWin:
“Omar Marmoush, incredibly talented and currently a key player for his club and the national team.
“But I hope he can stay away from comparisons because they will keep putting him under constant pressure.
“I just want him to avoid the idea of comparisons. People need to stop comparing him to me, saying he’s ‘the new Salah’ and that he’ll do what I did or even better, this doesn’t help him; it only puts him under constant pressure.
“You can’t compare him to a player who has achieved so much over the years while he’s just starting out. Let him live his own experience and enjoy it. He’s doing something different, in his own unique way.”
