Over the past year, there have been numerous concerns about how simple it could be to perform Akuma’s Raging Demon with Modern Controls enabled. The fear is that Akuma would be able to do this with a simple button and directional input. Essentially, it’d be a “one-button Raging Demon.”
Akuma’s gameplay trailer was recently showcased and, to nobody’s surprise, Akuma has retained his Raging Demon technique in Street Fighter 6. With Akuma being playable early at Gamagori, Japan from May 1 until May 6, 2024, Capcom recently revealed exactly how to perform Akuma’s Raging Demon Critical Art via Modern Controls.
Under normal circumstances in past games, the Raging Demon inputs have typically been light punch, light punch, forward, light kick, and then heavy punch. In Street Fighter 4, Akuma’s Ultra 1, Wrath of the Raging Demon, had the inputs light punch, light punch, back, light kick, and heavy kick, to differentiate it slightly from his Raging Demon super art.
As it turns out, Akuma’s Raging Demon Critical Art in Street Fighter 6 on Modern Controls are similar to how it’s normally performed, though simpler. Notably, it does not incorporate any directional inputs.
To perform a Raging Demon on Modern Controls, the user must input light, light, medium, and then heavy. Remember that this technique will only be available to Akuma when he has three bars of super gauge and has only 25% life remaining in a round.

FYI: In the Modern Control Command List, you can press R3 to switch to Manual Controls to see which special moves can still be performed with manual inputs in Modern.
