As you know, Xiaomi will hold a presentation on January 26, in which, it will introduce the Redmi Note 11 and MIUI 13 series to the global market. But without waiting for this date, the company rolled out a stable version of the new iteration of the proprietary user interface for three of its smartphones. This time among the pioneers were not flagships, but mid-range models.
We are talking about Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite smartphones, and MIUI 13 based on Android 12 is available for them as part of the Mi Pilot program. The first ones who managed to install the new firmware version note the lack of the Mi Sans font and performance improvement, and the Roboto font is the same as in the old versions of the shell. Users got new wallpaper and sidebar features.
MIUI 13 Global ROM offers the background permission view feature, which is not available in Chinese ROM. Thanks to it, the user can track which applications are requesting access to functions such as the camera and microphone.
To download the global version of MIUI 13, you can use the Mi Pilot section in the MIUI Downloader app. Just remember that this is a beta version, which means that no one guarantees the absence of problems and failures in its operation.
MIUI 13 features
At the launch event of the Xiaomi 12 series, the company also released its latest Android skin, MIUI 13. This system is coming after a long wait with the abysmal MIUI 12. We can safely say that MIUI 12 is one of the worse systems from Xiaomi. The company struggled with bugs and malware and aat some point some users thought their smartphones were bad. However, the company was able to savage the situation with the arrival of MIUI 12.5 enhanced edition. Even with this edition, there were still issues. Takle the Xiaomi 11 as an example, this device easily heats up, suffers from frame loss and has a bug prone system. However, after upgrading to the MIUI 13, all these issues are gone. Thus, it was never a hardware issue but a software problem.
Before the arrival of MIUI 13, MIUI 9 is arguably the best Android skin from Xiaomi in recent years. Vice President Chang Cheng said that the new firmware will bring with it many changes. It promised that the speed of system applications was increased by 20-26%; compared to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition and other programs – by 15-52%.
