Over recent months, Erik ten Hag has been at the centre of much speculation on whether he is the right boss at Manchester United.
The Red Devils have recently been experiencing a poor run of form, falling as far as 14th in the Premier League and 21st in the Europa League.
However, a 2-1 win over Brentford this weekend saw ten Hag’s men climb back up to 11th in the Premier League.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the board of directors will be hoping that this recent win will be the first in a run of victories, showing they were right to stand by ten Hag for the second time.
However, the pressure isn’t off just yet, with the side travelling to Turkey tomorrow for their mid-week match-up with Fenerbahce in the Europa League.

Now, former assistant manager Mitchell van der Gaag has spoken out about what ten Hag faces in his role under the INEOS leadership.
Mitchell van der Gaag speaks out about INEOS ownership
In a recent interview, Mitchell van der Gaag spoke out about the new owners and believes that the club were right to stand by ten Hag, with them all being on the same wavelength.
Speaking to Dutch outlet NOS, van der Gaag said: “You see with Ineos that they are in line with ten Hag and dare to look ahead. But in that whole process you do need results. In that respect, it’s nice to beat Brentford last weekend.”
He continued: “If it was an easy job, everyone could be there. Since the departure of Alex Ferguson, there have been ups and downs. The great thing about Erik is he always keeps looking ahead and moving forward. You can’t control the rest.”
The former assistant coach was also asked about his exit from the club, commenting: “What happened? Well, not so much. My ambition is to become a head coach again, after first being an assistant at Ajax and then at Manchester United. It’s great to be an assistant, but at a certain point you also have to follow your ambitions again.”
Van der Gaag is currently without a club following his departure from Manchester United, having followed ten Hag there from Ajax.
