Mexico suffers and draws against Jamaica in the Nations League

The collective performance of the Mexican National Team continues to generate doubts about its performances prior to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Inoperative on offense

In their match against Jamaica, the team coached by the Argentine Gerardo “Tata” Martino had to come back from an adverse score and, suffering, ended up tying 1-1 in matchday 3 of the Nations League.

At the beginning of the match, the Caribbean team took advantage of an oversight by Jess Gallardo in the marking and at minute 4 took a 1-0 lead through a header by Leon Bailey, on a pass from Shamar Nicholson.

From that point on, Jamaica was better positioned on the pitch of the National Stadium in Kingston against an uncoordinated opponent that lacked the ideas to go forward.

Perhaps the most important thing for the Mexican team were the set pieces, as they managed to even the score at 1-1 in the 48th minute of action.
