Ingraham (2-0, 2-0 Metro) remained undefeated with a hard-fought win over Nathan Hale.
Ballard 29, Garfield 6
The Ballard Beavers defeated the Garfield Bulldogs 29-6 in a Metro League matchup. Ballard’s defense was key to their victory, intercepting two passes and recovering a fumble. Ballard’s offense was led by quarterback Dylan Wallblom and running back Oliver Broadgate. Garfield’s offense struggled, turning the ball over on downs twice and fumbling twice. Ballard coach Malik Prince was pleased with his team’s performance but acknowledged there was still work to be done.
O’Dea 49, Rainier Beach 6
The O’Dea Fighting Irish dominated the Rainier Beach Vikings 49-6 in their Metro League opener at West Seattle Stadium. O’Dea’s defense put up a solid front, stopping Rainier Beach’s offense, while the Fighting Irish’s offense scored touchdowns on several drives. The Vikings struggled to advance the ball past midfield, and their defensive efforts couldn’t contain O’Dea’s attack.
