Medical Women Association of Nigeria lauds Dr Janet Ekpenyong’s impeccable achievements

…Honours her with Meritorious Service Award

The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Janet Ekpenyong has received in audience the Executives of the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Cross River State chapter.

The Association, led by its President, Dr Vivian Otu, paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner in her office on Monday to congratulate her on her well deserved appointment.

According to Otu, Dr Janet’s appointment did not come as a surprise because of her antecedents, especially in the Primary Health Care Agency. She said they have come to let her know they are very proud that she is one of them and she has their unwavering support.

The Medical Women Association also intimated her of their upcoming rally on World Cancer Day, which they hope she will do them the honour of flagging it off.

Speaking during the visit, Dr. Janet said she felt honoured by their kind gesture and support. She assured the Medical Women Association that her passion for the health and wellbeing of Cross Riverians is unwavering and that with her elevation to the position of Commissioner for Health, she is poised to do more.

Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a plaque to Dr. Janet Ekpenyong in special recognition of her diligence and hard work by the Medical Women Association of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter.
