MEDIA AIDES TO GOVERNOR BEN AYADE OUTLINES GIANT STRIDES OF HIS EXCELLENCY SO FAR IN 2020

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Cross River State on Communication and Advocacy, Miss Beatrice Akpala and her colleague the Special Assistant on Strategic Communication, Mr. Andrea Ekeng, have Outlined the giant steps taken so far by Governor Ben Ayade in the year 2020.

They gave the Executive Summary Of the Governor’s strides during the live appearance on the flagship programme Of Cross River Broadcasting Corporation Good Morning Cross River Tuesday.

Speaking, Miss Akpala mentioned the fact that governance kicked started for the second term of Governor Ben Ayade’s led administration after His Excellency constituted his 39-man team of cabinet members.

This was followed by the official flag off of the farming season, an event that held on Thursday 16th of January, 2020 at the Rice Seed and Seedling Factory in Calabar.

During the auspicious Occasion, Governor Ayade unveiled the G-Money initiative, Averring that his “utmost priority is to see at least about two million Cross Riverians becoming Green Millionaires through Agriculture.”

Miss Akpala said that the future is navigating to the Agric Value Chain, she added that the “G-Money initiative is a policy thrust of  Government that encourages young and vibrant Cross Riverians to take their destinies in their hands to maximize their potentials and stop wasting time seeking for white collar jobs that pays little or nothing and rather embrace the mechanization support of the State Government.”

She further stated that on Friday 17th of January, 2020, there was an official courtesy visit by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, His Excellency, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, a meeting that held at the Exco Chambers of the Governor in Calabar.

During the meeting, Senator Akpabio pledged the undiluted support of the Ministry Of Niger Delta to the Government of Cross River State, promising to collaborate with the Governor towards seeing that all Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) projects for the state would be fully completed, delivered and commissioned within it’s stipulated time frame.

She further commended the Information Commissioner, Comrade Asu Okang for taking the initiative to revamp the information sub-sector in Cross River State. She also applauded other commissioners for the efforts contributed so far in their various ministries in barely two months of assumption of office.

Comrade Ekeng on his part, revealed the Governor’s plan to empower the less privileged and vulnerables across the state by “releasing another 180 million naira counterpart funding to the Youth Employment and Social Support Organisation (YESSO).”

He added that the over ten thousand (10,000) poor and vulnerable beneficiaries will be receiving at least seven thousand five hundred naira (7,500)stipends monthly for doing little social works.

While concluding, the communication experts called on well menaning Cross Riverians to quit the blame game and rather be proactive by supporting the State Governor in piloting the affairs of the state to a greater level of prosperity….Together We Will Build The Cross River State Of Dreams… SSA COMMUNICATION AND ADVOCACY
