What You’ll Do:
Maintenance & Optimisation
Maintain and improve the mechanical performance of production equipment to meet production and quality targets.
Adhere to health, safety, quality, and production standards at all times.
Optimize processes through advanced maintenance techniques, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as the first point of contact for mechanical incident troubleshooting and basic verification checks.
Process Improvement
Analyse and improve production processes using problem-solving methodologies and Open+ tools.
Participate in and lead advanced problem-solving activities (e.g., PM Cards, IDA, UPS).
Drive continuous improvement through a zero-loss mindset and implementation of Kaizen activities.
Team Development
Build team capabilities and enhance technical knowledge of online processes.
Coach and mentor team members in PM Pillar tools and methodologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share knowledge, improve team efficiency, and support cultural transformation through the Open+/IOS framework.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with all quality, environmental, health, and safety standards (PMI and legal).
Collaborate with quality teams to prevent incidents, reduce non-conformities, and enhance product integrity.
Monitor and improve machine settings, troubleshooting lists, and technical process modifications in compliance with change management processes.
Sustainability & Safety
Promote a proactive safety culture and adherence to preventive/predictive safety measures.
Ensure compliance with sustainability practices, reducing losses and improving environmental performance.
Documentation & Training
Complete and maintain accurate records for product traceability and equipment interventions.
Develop and follow a personal training plan, ensuring alignment with the Qualification Matrix.
Propose and implement improvements to standardized work processes.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
A Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering.
At least four years’ experience as mechanical engineering
Two years’ as mechanical technician in high-volume consumer goods manufacturing.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP, MS Word, and MS Excel.
Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
Spare part and component revision expertise.
Familiarity with industrial control technologies.
Competencies:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proactive approach to integrating new technologies and controls.
Ability to coach and mentor team members.
