MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION
Our team is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who is highly skilled and experienced. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, especially focusing on generators with a power output of 750KVA or higher, also ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct safety inspections and promote a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, technicians and other team members.
- Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections, tests, and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Identify and address potential issues before they escalate into major breakdowns.
Reactive Maintenance:
- Respond promptly to equipment failures and breakdowns
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Oversee repair and maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDEX
- Maintenance Response Time: Average time taken to respond to maintenance requests.
- Equipment Uptime: Percentage of time that generators are operational and not under maintenance.
- Maintenance Cost Efficiency: Ratio of maintenance costs to total operational costs.
- Safety Compliance Rate: Adherence to safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities.
- Preventive Maintenance Completion Rate: Percentage of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks completed on time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, specifically with 750KVA generators and above.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
