As Cross River state begins the second phase of the Measles Vaccination campaign in the remaining 9 LGAs. Dr Betta Edu said she is elated to forward the report of the first phase of Measles Vaccination Campaign that has been painstakingly executed in the state.
They were daunting challenges during the pre- and implementation stages no doubt. However, a clear show of resilient demonstrated by our team of very hard working and dedicated staff have turned the tides around as the state did well in most of the key indicators.
Results are usually not announced at half time. Notwithstanding, we can draw strength going into the second phase of implementation by looking back at what the state have achieved in the first phase so as to do better.
Luckily for the state, International Development partners have strongly lauded the state for its performance. AFENET International Rep said “one area of strength is its M&E and this was evident as the state scored highest in monitoring of coverage among all the states that implemented during this just concluded phase in the entire southern Nigeria.
As I congratulate you and the entire Cross River state team on behalf of my organization, I sincerely advise that we give hid to data and who ever understands the language of data because therein lies the barometer that measures the state performance.
Please all parents and care givers must ensure that their wards receive measles vaccine. It is free and safe!
Congratulations to the Cross River team energized by Sen Ben Ayade pro-health Governor of Cross River state.
