The digital version of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was recently released for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Xbox fans still have to wait until 2025 until the collection is released for the Xbox One.
While Justin Wong is destroying everyone he plays so badly that they then refund the collection, it would seem that Maximilian Dood is making it a point to actually promote more sales of the game. As it turns out, Maximilian Dood recently appeared on CNN specifically to talk about the newly released collection.
“This is a game and a series that has been around for, you know, 20 to almost 25 years, and a lot of the titles in here have been inaccessible, sort of locked away behind licensing agreements,” said Maximilian Dood during this segment. “These games that were impossible to find are now available under one umbrella — it’s unfathomably cool to someone like me.”
The games included in Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics are X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and The Punisher.
“The nice part about this collection is that it feels very good,” continued Maximilian Dood. “As someone that has been trying these games and different versions of them for so many years, this is probably the closest to like the source material that we’ve had in a very long time.”
Ultimately, it’s pretty cool that CNN was able to recognize the impact that the release of the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics has had. Maximilian Dood proved to be the perfect person to talk to with regards to this subject.
Of course, this segment lasted less than two minutes, but it was nice to see regardless. Check it all out below:
