Hilary Duff’s past relationships might feel like ancient history. Yet, her current spouse isn’t exactly the one who’s flown the coop. On the day of love, Valentine’s Day, her husband Matthew Koma opted for a different approach. Instead of the usual lovey-dovey messages, he went for a laugh-out-loud shout-out on social media.
His Instagram post on February 14 was a real hoot. “This Valentine’s Day I’d like to thank all the brave men who’ve saved my wife from dangerous oceans over the years,” he penned. He made sure to acknowledge their courage, saying, “You don’t go unnoticed and your fearlessness is celebrated in our home everyday.”
The post was a collage of sorts. It featured a paparazzi snap of the couple getting cozy in the ocean during a 2017 vacation. But that wasn’t all. Koma also included photos of Hilary with her exes, Jason Walsh and Ely Sandvik. She had brief flings with them in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
He didn’t stop there, though. He added some screen grabs from one of Hilary’s films and a music video. A bit random, but it added a fun twist.
Hilary, who’s expecting their third child, found the post amusing. She’s already a mom to daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 2, with Matthew. Plus, she shares son Luca, 11, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie. Her reaction to Matthew’s post? She got a real kick out of it.
