Over recent days, the race for Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel has been heating up, with several Premier League sides wading into the mix.
Manchester United have been considering a loan move for the star incase Marcus Rashford or Alejandro Garnacho end up leaving the club.
Both have been at the centre of major interest throughout January, with several of Europe’s elite clubs looking to Rashford, whilst Napoli and Chelsea have been the only real contenders for Garnacho.
With the potential to lose one, or both, plus lacking a quality striker up top, United have looked to Tel as an option who can cover both as a striker and as a left-winger.
However, the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Aston Villa have also begun circling to swoop for the 19-year-old who decided he no longer wants to play for Bayern Munich.
It was announced that Tel wants to leave the German giants by deadline day, having bid his fans farewell after Bayern’s 3-1 win over Slovan Bratislava.
Previously it was reported that Tel was keen on a move to United, however this has now been confirmed by The Daily Mail.

Mathys Tel decides on his priority for the future
The report explains that Mathys Tel is waiting to see if United or Arsenal formalise their interest in him before making a final decision on his future.
This heavily implies that either of the Premier League duo would be Tel’s top priority for his next club.
One thing that’s clear is his priority for more gametime which he’s failed to get at Bayern.
However, with Joshua Zirkzee still finding his feet and Rasmus Hojlund on trial till the end of the season, Tel could establish himself as Ruben Amorim’s top striker.
