Massive lag spike interrupts a match but AutoMattock still capitalizes on the most clutch confirm in Street Fighter 6

Capitalizing on hit confirms is an important skill to have to play at a high level in Street Fighter 6. Being able to convert a single hit into big damage can often be the decider in situations that a player would otherwise lose in.

AutoMattock recently found himself in this situation while playing an online session as Jamie. He had only a sliver of life remaining. Though things were looking bad considering that the opposing JP player still had around 30-40% stamina remaining, all AutoMattock needed was one hit confirm to win the match.

Despite the mounting pressure, AutoMattock kept his cool until he was able to scout a whiffed crouching medium kick. However, the moment AutoMattock connected with his own attack, the game paused due to a massive lag spike.

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” exclaimed AutoMattock as the scene unfolded. Indeed, this could not have happened at a worse time. Or perhaps it was actually the best time for this to happen.

With the pause in gameplay, AutoMattock continued to mash the inputs for Jamie’s Critical Art on his hitbox controller. Amazingly, he managed to get the result he was looking for.

It’s really too bad that the match disconnected soon afterwards. Check it all out in the clip below:
