Manchester United appear to be handed another last minute blow at the hands of Fabrizio Romano, not long after the collapse of their deal for Mathys Tel.
The Red Devils are desperate to sign a striker, with Ruben Amorim making the demand for a striker to join the side by the end of the day.
United were pursuing Tel as the 19-year-old announced his desire to leave Bayern Munich by deadline day.
Unfortunately, despite Tel wanting a move to United, Bayern had other ideas, with the two clubs failing to come to an agreement for the youngster.
Now, another deal for an exciting striker appears to be a no-go, with Romano confirming no movement so far today.
Taking to X, The King of the Transfer Market, Fabrizio Romano expressed that no movement has happened between Manchester United and Chelsea regarding a move for Christopher Nkunku.
The striker reportedly had no intentions on agreeing to any loan deal, with the two clubs looking at a potential swap deal including Alejandro Garancho.
The pair of Premier League clubs have been looking at a direct swap, with both stars being valued in the £60 million to £70 million bracket.
However, despite interest from Bayern Munich and United, Romano has confirmed there has been now movement on a deal this deadline day.
Christopher Nkunku never had any intention to leave Chelsea on loan in January.
The only possibility was permanent move but never got close with Bayern or Man United despite interest.
