Massachusetts homicide victim found dead behind his workplace in crowded area

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (TCD) — A homicide investigation is underway after police found the remains of a 30-year-old man behind a business in a public area over the weekend.

On Saturday, April 20, at around 10 p.m., officers with the Framingham Police Department responded to Worcester Road, where they found Anthony Lopez deceased near the trash area behind Hot Table, a local restaurant where he worked.

According to WBTS-TV, Lopez showed signs of trauma to his body. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the victim’s exact cause of death.

The area where the victim was found is reportedly very public and is known to be crowded.

Police have not announced any arrests in the case, but the investigation is ongoing by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives, and Framingham Police.

Friends told WCVB-TV that Lopez leaves behind a young son.
