January 02, 2025 QUEENS, New York – Around 12 people were struck by gunfire during a mass shooting at Amazura nightclub in Jamaica, Queens, New York, on Wednesday evening, cops said.
Calls for help and to report active shooting started pouring into 911 around 11:20 p.m., and officers raced to the scene, calling on all available units from the 103rd Precinct to respond to 144th Pl. and 91st Avenue for the shooting incident.
According to FDNY officials, a total of nine people were transported to area hospitals from the incident location.
The exact number of people shot is still being investigated by the NYPD with some victims self transporting to area hospitals and all victims reportedly listed in stable condition, police said.
Three people were found shot in front of the club and additional injured people located inside on the 2nd floor, said police radio.
Officers outside also found two individuals wounded near Sutphin Blvd & Archer Ave and a hospital canvas located a 15-year-old girl who was shot in the left leg.
No arrests at this time, police are searching for the occupants of a gray Infiniti vehicle that fled the scene for questioning.
