After a positive season playing in Spain for Getafe, new hints are suggesting that Greenwood will be moving away from Manchester United permanently.
The 22-year-old has spent the last season on loan to the Spanish club Getafe, playing 32 games in the La Liga season, scoring on eight occasions and setting up his team mates six times, with a further two goals in the Copa del Rey.
Greenwood’s temporary move to Spain came on the back of his suspension from United after being charged of attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour. Whilst the Crown Prosecution Service have dropped all charges, it appears as though the Red Devil’s academy graduate is unlikely to return to first team football at Old Trafford.
A report from The Sun has highlighted that the striker’s mansion valued at £2 million is currently up for rent, with the fully-furnished six-bedroom property being available for £14,000 per month.
With Greenwood now renting out the property which was his home when playing for United, fuel is added to the fire, with the Mirror reporting that four top-tier teams are chasing the Englishman, with Getafe president Angel Torres indicating his desire to remain with the squad.
According to reports from the Mirror, Juventus, Napoli and Atletico Madrid are being joined by Borussia Dortmund in the race for Greenwood’s signature. With such big name teams looking to acquire Greenwood’s signature, United may have some decisions to make regarding his future this summer.
