Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 voice actor says the game could release in September

Todd shared a picture of himself in a “mocap mainframe” while he is working on a game, which is most likely Spider-Man 2. While responding to a Spider-Man 2 fan on Twitter, Todd claimed that the game would most likely launch in September. He also revealed that promotions and commercials for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will probably begin in August. Todd said, “Looks like September! Massive publicity coming in august. Commercials start dropping in august so I’m told. Hold on to your … and hold breath! Gonna be necessary.”

While Todd’s statements aren’t confirmed by Sony or Insomniac yet, they seem in line with Spider-Man 2’s fall release window. If everything goes well, the game might actually launch in September. That said, many AAA games get delayed multiple times to fix bugs, improve performance, and ensure a smooth day one experience. So, it won’t be surprising to see the September release window change in the coming months.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will pick up after the events of Spider-Man and Miles Morales. The game will feature both Peter and Miles as well as a new villain in Venom. Unlike previous entries, Spider-Man 2 is expected to be much darker. Besides these, Insomniac is yet to share any details about the gameplay and story of Spider-Man 2.
