Martyn Ford has jokingly taken credit for Erling Haaland’s irresistible form and reckons the Manchester City star is the world’s best striker.
Haaland has made a spectacular start to life at the Etihad with 17 goals in ten appearances in all competitions.

He added another three goals to his growing collection during City’s 6-3 win over Manchester United.
The Norwegian was at his brilliant best in the Manchester derby as he also provided two assists for Phil Foden, who got himself a hat-trick as well.
And Haaland’s brilliance is all down to the time famous bodybuilder Ford and DJ Tom Zanetti met Haaland as well as his dad, former footballer Alfe-Inge, in Marbella.
“Name me a better striker in the world at present ???” Ford wrote on Instagram.
“@erling.haaland I put it down to the tips myself and @tomzanettitz passed over on this day [three crying laughter emojis]. Fast becoming a legend of the game.
“Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, and @alfiehaaland what a gentleman.”
Plenty in football have been impressed with Haaland, with former Liverpool, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez labelling the 22-year-old as the ‘best No.9 at the moment.’
After the Norwegian posted a photo of his meditating celebration on Instagram, Suarez commented: “Congratulations my friend! Amazing game for you! Best number 9 at the moment.”
Haaland is only 22, with many defenders coming to the frightening realisation that he’s only going to get better.
And with Ford giving hims strength tips, it will be an uncomfortable season for them.
